| So, the whole update more often and visit this site more frequently thing? Totally didn't work out like I expected; however, I'm still here and I still update. That means something right? Well just for an update, I'm not going to State anymore. I decided to join the Air Force (which was my plan once I graduated anyway) and get my education that way. I'm currently working on that. I leave for MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station) next Tuesday to swear in and I'll be one step closer to being a Pararescue-man. It's kind of funny how life turns out sometimes. You have this idea of what you want, and you follow it and you think you know exactly what you're doing and how things are going to go, then WHAM! You're hit with something totally different, but yet better if not just as good. Weird how we can get in to this tunnel vision of things and forget to check our peripheral. If you would have asked me how my life would have turned out a whole 7 years ago when I was a freshman in high school (Geeze am I really that old?). I'm about 110% sure that I wouldn't have stated anything like this, but you know what? I'm totally happy with it and am actually looking forward to it. I guess I wouldn't have it any other way. What's the purpose of living if I all ready know exactly what I'm going to go through? I guess the purpose of this blog is a reminder. A reminder to anyone who doesn't exactly know what they want to do in life or are semi-disappointed with the way something has turned out...Just remember things don't always turn out as planned, but that's life. No one lives that fairy-tale life, relationship are going to take more than a glass slipper or 7 little people to make it work. You're high school career isn't always going to include some crazy month where you have to go through all these crazy things just to get a girl to like you. You're not going to be born in to a society were Vampires and Lykens have been at war for centuries without end, but that's NORMAL! I think movies have ruined us in a sense that some of us expect things to always turn out perfect or have it be action packed. The fact is, it more than likely won't. That's why we have movies in the first place. Who would want to watch a movie about something so cool if our lives were like that to begin with? Things are thrown at you for a reason, you live and you learn. Bad things happen, but that way you can appreciate the good things that come your way. This isn't our final resting place anyways. Our time here is just one big test, live it to the fullest, enjoy life, but don't forget why we are ALL here. Don't be too concerned about material things or social things, that may seem important now, but not later. Do you guys get what I'm saying? I thought so, anyway..I think this plethora of sentence fragments and run-ons justifies my absence from xanga. I've typed enough to make up for not being here as much. Hope everyone is doing well. | So, life has been different. Crazy different, but not bad. I'm really happy with the way things have turned out, even the things that seemed to be the worse, have ended up being some of the best things that could ever happen to me. I'm not sure how everything is going to turn out.... especially for the next few days, but I'm positive I can look back on it and think..."I wouldn't have it any other way." Only time will tell though. THS band camp is next week and it's crazy to think that even though I graduated three years ago, I'm still there helping out. Like a true band nerd I guess, plus the pay isn't that bad either . Well that's all I really have to say at the moment. I'll probably have something else later. -Dennis | | |
| So, I've had conversations with random people at random times and for the past couple of weeks we've all brought up Xanga and how it use to be the stuff. So guess what? I've decided to start doing this again. I wanted a way to keep up with what's happened and what I've been through and what not. After all, it's kind of what this thing is for anyways right? Speaking of that, I had a chance to look at all of my old blogs..and I apologize for being mildly retarded. Like really, I've come a long way. How any human being put up with me? I have no idea. Hahah, but anyway. If anyone still reads this thing, I'm back. If not, then...oh well. I sort of did this for myself anyway. Hope everything is going well with anyone who reads this. I could totally post everything that's happened since 2006, but that would take at least a gazillion years and I'm pretty sure I'll have future posts talk about something that's happened in the past anyways. As for now, I'm going to get ready to go to bed. Two fingers like a player.
